
Shipping and Plant Sales Info
Shipping plants may seem strange. But we try and make it the best plant buying experience you have ever had. Here is some more information on how we deliver plants, shipping rules, online plant sale policies, and info on promos and discounts.

We started an online nursery to help deliver hard to find plants right to your door. It is also easy and convenient. Most of our plants are not available in big box nurseries. We wanted to find a way for more people to have access to native and edible plants. So, we decided to bring them to you.
We have three options for getting plants to you:
1. We hand deliver them ourselves at a flat rate.
Our hand delivery option is only available to certain eligible ZIP codes in East Orlando. This includes East Orlando all the way to Titusville, south towards the Orlando Int'l airport, and north to Deltona. If you think your ZIP code should be added to our list, let us know!
Hand Delivery must be selected in the cart page or at checkout. When you put your ZIP code in, it will give you different options to select. If you see a city name followed by "Hand Delivered" plus a dollar amount, your shipping address is eligible for hand delivery at that dollar amount.
For example: An address in Oviedo, FL eligible for hand delivery will be listed as a shipping option by the following: "Oviedo Hand Delivered - $10"
Hand Delivery is great because it is a flat rate. That means there is no order too small or too big to be eligible for that rate, unlike shipping through USPS or UPS.
AND....
Many of our hand delivery options become free in orders over $75.00 or more. So make sure you make your shipping selection carefully!
2. We ship plants to your front door using USPS or UPS.
In order to avoid plants sitting over a weekend or holiday, we only ship plants on Mondays and Tuesday. All orders placed the week before will be packaged and shipped the following Monday and Tuesday. If you would like your order to ship out on a specific day, please let us know in your order notes.
Shipping through one of these two carriers is the only realistic shipping method for addresses outside of our area. We generally have very good success with healthy plants arriving undamaged when shipping through UPS. Because of this, we use UPS for our larger orders and larger plants. We still sometimes use USPS for our smaller orders, for seeds, and for cuttings.
If your shipping address is within Florida, you do not need to upgrade your shipping to priority or anything faster than the standard shipping. Your plants generally arrive in 3-4 days.
If your shipping address is outside of Florida, we recommend upgrading your shipping so that plants arrive quickly before they become dried out or are exposed to too much heat inside a truck or warehouse.
Shipping costs are based on weight. We can not offer flat rate shipping through carriers. Orders containing 1 gal and 3 gal plants will cost more in shipping due to the weight of the plants. You will be able to see your shipping costs real time when adding items to your care if your ZIP code has been entered on the Cart Page.
We package all our plants to be shipped as carefully as possible. 1 gal and 3 gal size plants will ship in a pot wrapped in plastic wrap to help maintain moisture and keep soil in the pot. Bamboo is placed in all large plants to help prevent them from shifting in the box.
We upcycle shipping materials!! This means you could see a used box or packaging material. We encourage you to upcycle these materials as well or add them to your compost.
3. Schedule an onsite pickup
Due to current county coding, we can not offer retail nursery sales. But, you are more than welcome to come pickup your plant order. There is no extra charge for picking up your plants. However, it will need to be scheduled. If you are interested in picking up your order, please call us or email us prior to placing the order.

Fruit of Labor Landscaping Service LLC is not responsible for plants damaged during shipping. We will do our very best to package plants in order to prevent any damage to the best of our abilities.

Fruit of Labor Landscaping Service LLC is not responsible for any lost shipments. Please contact the carrier associated with your tracking number if you think your shipment was lost.

Refunds for damaged or lost shipments will be handled on a case by case basis. Each shipment will come with a standard $100 insurance through UPS or USPS. If plants arrive damaged, please utilize the insurance to claim your refund from the service used. We take a lot of care and time to package plants for shipping but it is not our fault if the carrier damages them. So, please do not ask us for a refund. Instead, ask the carrier for a refund. If you need any help resolving issues with damaged or lost plants, please reach out to us and we will do our best to assist you through the insurance claim process.

Changes in orders containing a temporary promotion, discount, or coupon may not always be allowed. Changes to these orders may not always stay eligible for original or new promotion, discount, or coupon.

Sales tax is automatically applied to online plant sales per Seminole County tax code.
Promotions and Discounts

Promo Codes must be entered at checkout in order to be redeemed for a discount. They can not be applied after an order is placed. If you are having any issues with your promo code, please reach out to us prior to placing your order.

All site members are eligible for a discount via promo code. Site members are emailed their promo code after becoming a site member.

Store discounts are run throughout the year on various items. Discounts are automatically applied to orders placed while the discount is active. There is no need for a promo code during the active period of a discount.

Changes or cancellations of orders may not always remain eligible for promo codes and discounts.
