Swamp Milkweed is an easy to grow Florida native milkweed with pink flowers. The leaves, seed pods, and new stems serve as a food source and host plant for the monarch, queen, and soldier butterfly larvae. The flowers provide nectar for adult butterflies. Swamp milkweed loves full sun but can grow in partial shade. Like it's name suggests, this variety of milkweed prefers moist acidic soils. We have planted Swamp Milkweed in pots to retain moisture with good results.
