Blue Flag Iris is a great Florida Native Aquatic plant that has showy blooms. It makes a great aquatic plant or border plant for your rain garden. Flowers can be white or purple. We love the purple color! Blooms early spring - early summer. 
 
It really does need to be in consistently moist soil. Can be planted in pots to achieve soil moisture requirements.
