Lyreleaf Sage is an awesome little FL native wildflower. It is typically one of the first to bloom, a nice reminder that spring is almost here. The purple flowers stand out amongst the other plants and attract a wide variety of pollinators. Until it flowers, it could be mistaken as a weed. As a long-lived perennial, you could use this as a native groundcover. It will cover an area through self-seeding.
Lyreleaf Sage is documented to be edible and there are many medicinal uses. It seems the most documented way to consume is in tea or eaten raw in salads.
